Location: Ontario, Canada

Project: Dust Collection System Upgrade & Air Flow Optimization

Duration: 3 Weeks

Delivered By: William Radtke Sheet Metal Ltd.

Challenge

MidWest Industrial Co., a growing manufacturing company, was facing serious challenges with its outdated dust collection system. Employees reported poor air quality and increased dust accumulation near high-usage equipment. The company needed an efficient, reliable solution that could be implemented with minimal production disruption.

Our Solution

William Radtke Sheet Metal Ltd. conducted a full site visit and performed detailed air flow readings, system analysis, and troubleshooting. Our team identified inefficiencies in duct routing and inadequate fan performance.

We designed a custom exhaust and make-up air system, fabricated rectangular and spiral ductwork, and built custom plenums and structural supports to fit the facility layout. Using our computerized plasma cutting table, all components were cut with precision, ensuring airtight fittings and smooth installation.

Fabrication Highlights

  • 1/4" plate sheared and formed into structural stands
  • Round and rectangular duct fabricated and rolled to custom specs
  • All components MIG and TIG welded for durability
  • Installation included balancing and HVAC system testing

Outcome

Within three weeks, MidWest Industrial had a completely upgraded dust collection system. Post-installation air flow tests showed a 40% improvement, and workplace air quality exceeded expectations. Maintenance needs were reduced, and employees reported a significantly more comfortable working environment.

Client Feedback
